How do I start click.to??
If click.to is currently running, you should see its icon in your taskbar usually located at the lower right corner of your screen (Windows) or at the upper right corner of your screen (Mac). You can now go ahead and use click.to:
Simply copy something to your clipboard via CTRL + C, CTRL + X, print-button or via the right click context menu (Copy,Cut). The click.to satellites pop-up as soon as you move some new content to the clipboard.
Now simply choose the action you want to perform from the satellite menu by clicking on the designated icon respectively the action in the extended menu which is accesed by moving the mouse cursor on the red icon with the three little dots.

Why do I need click.to?
Click.to simplifies your daily work significantly. You will save dozens of clicks, because interfaces between programs, and detours, can be skipped. Rather than looking up an address for a contact in Outlook, opening your browser to access Google Maps, and then typing in the address, you only need to click on Outlook, hit Ctrl+C (for Mac-Users: ⌘+C), select the menu click.to “Google Maps” and click.to searches for the address automatically on google maps and shows you the results.

Which data does click.to save?
Click.to does not save any text. Pictures are saved up to ten minutens and only until they are uploaded to the requested service.

Does Click.to change my UI or my desktop?
No, click.to only adds an icon to your task bar, and every time you hit Ctrl+C (for Mac-Users: ⌘+C) the click.to icon appears next to your mouse cursor. If you want to turn it off for certain applications, perhaps because you never use click.to with them, you can do this in the settings menu.

Why does click.to, start only after about 4 seconds with OpenOffice applications?
OpenOffice takes about 4 seconds to notice that something has landed on the clipboard. Unfortunately we have no control over this. We have forwarded the issue to OpenOffice.

Does click.to come with any costs?
Click.to Windows is for free for a fixed period of time. After the expiration of the trial it is necessary to purchase a license. Click.to Mac can be purchased from the App Store.

Which Default features are included in the click.to package?
In the standard package, Google Maps, Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, Excel, Word and many more are included. Click.to is endlessly expandable and new interfaces can be added by the community.

Does click.to work only with Ctrl+C (for Mac-Users: ⌘+C) or right click -> copy?
The click.to menu appears when pressing the key combination Ctrl+C (for Mac-Users: ⌘+C), and when you run it from right click -> copy. Click.to responds even if you press the “Print” button to save a screenshot to the clipboard.

The video on the start menu doesn’t show up for me. Why is that?
Your computer probably has an older version of Adobe Flash Player (Flash Player 10 Active X) installed. You can download the latest version from the Adobe website by selecting your OS and the version for the Internet Explorer, because only this one delivers the required version.

What is the “back” function for?
With this feature, copied content will be added to the previously opened window, or open “back” the previously open windows, and you can even choose, with Ctrl+V (for Mac-Users: ⌘+V), where in a document to insert copied text.

Is my click.to the latest version?
This you can find out for yourself: if you open the click.to menu in the system tray, there is a menu entry called “Updates”. With a click, you can check whether there is a newer version of click.to and download and install it directly.

I’d like to open everything with the Internet Explorer but click.to keeps opening it with Firefox. How do I change it?
Click.to uses your default webbrowser. To change it to firefox go to Extra -> Settings -> Advanced and select the check box  “Always check to see if Firefox is the default browser on startupand click on “Check now”. Internet Explorer: Extra-> Internet Options -> tab “Programs” and click “Make to default”. Google Chrome: Options -> click on “Make Google Chrome my default browser”. Opera: Settings -> Preferences -> Advanced ->Programs and select the checkbox “Check if Opera is default browser on startup”.

How can I solve the mouse/ keyboard lag?
First make sure you are running the latest version. If the error still occurs perform a restart of click.to. This should solve it!

Why should I use a shortcut for the menu?
You can call the satellite menu with this shortcut and choose any action you want and type in some text!
For example use this shortcut and click on Twitter. A small window will open where you can enter your new tweed.

I updated click.to but I can’t find any of the new actions. How do I get them?
To add the recently integrated actions, right click on the click.to icon in the lower right corner of your screen and select “Options”.
You will now see a list of all your actions. Click on “Add…” on the right side and a dialog will pop up where you can add all the new actions!

How do I open copied URLs in my default web browser with click.to?
The Google action has two different features:
1. Open a new google search
2. Open a copied URL in your default web browser
So simply click on the Google icon and the URL will be opened in your default web browser.

Everytime I want to use a web action I get the error message: canceled web action : application not found How do I get rid of this error?
You have to check your settings for your default web browser. If you get this message trying to use a web action it is most likely that clickto cannot find your default web browser. Here is a short introduction how to set up your default web browser.

I get the error message “It appears that the existing installation is already current! Setup stopped!” when trying to reinstall click.to. How do I solve the problem?
Some uninstallation programs do not clear the registry of click.to correctly. To remove leftover registry keys press WINDOWS-button + R and type in “regedit” . Search for “clicktoapp ” until you find a key named “version” and delete this key. You can now close the registry and reinstall clickto!
