This Privacy Policy describes click.to’s (“click.to’s”) policies and procedures on the collection, disclosure and use of your information in the click.to Software and click.to actions and any affiliated sites (collectively, the “Site”) and the services, applications, widgets , browsers, and software made available by click.to (together with the Site referred to as the “Actions”). click.to receives information about you from various sources, including through your registration with click.to, through your use of the click.to Actions and from various third party websites, APIs, SMS, and other services. When using any of the click.to Actions, you are consenting to the transfer, collection, manipulation, disclosure, storage and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Overview

click.to (“click.to”) provides a software tool for you to extend the Microsoft Windows clip board and accordingly the Mac OS/iPhone/iPad iOS Pasteboard functionality. click.to provides several default actions (“Actions”) which enable you to upload, convert, use, re-use, send, transform, open or extend the items saved in your Microsoft Windows clip board and accordingly in the Mac OS/iPhone/iPad iOS Pasteboard. These actions may interact with your social network tools, click.to web services and third-party websites, services, applications and widgets, including Adobe Software Tools, Amazon, Apple OS Tools, Apple iOS Tools, Blogger, Box, billiger.de, Evernote, Facebook, Flickr, Google, Google Tools, Memonic, Microsoft Office Tools, Pastebin.com,  Simplenote, Skype, Twitter, Toodledo twitpic, Wikipedia, Windows OS Tools, Xing, Youtube and others (“Third Party actions”) or others. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of click.to and the Actions, including users who contribute content, information and other materials or services via the Actions.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that click.to does not own or control, including but not limited to any Third Party Services that you elect to access though click.to, or to individuals that click.to does not employ or manage.

Our Privacy Policy covers click.to’s treatment of personal information that click.to gathers when you use the Actions.

Collection and Use of Data

Automated Data Collection: When you access click.to’s websites or if you use the click.to software, your internet browser automatically transmits data for technical reasons. The following data are stored separately from other data that you may send us:

  • Date and time of access
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • URL of previously-visited websites
  • Volume of data sent
  • The data content you want to post, send, share, save, condition, changed, etc. via click.to. This content could be e.g. text, pictures, files, links and other. This content will be buffered anonymously for a short period of time on our servers (click.to web services) in order to send it to your selected Third Party Services. The content will not be stored on our servers and also not parsed or forwarded to others.
  • This data is collected solely for technical reasons and is never identified with a specific person at any time.

Information We Collect And Use

Information You Elect to Make Public:  
The click.to Actions and Third Party Services accessed through the click.to Actions are primarily designed to assist you in sharing information with the world (e.g. posting pictures on Facebook), retrieving conditioned text (e.g. translations), speech (e.g. Microsoft Translate) or information (e.g. Wikipedia). Most of the information that you provide to us is information that you are asking us to make public. This includes information that you desire to post to Third Party Services, such as messages that you send through Twitter, posts to Facebook, check-in information on Blogger, etc., and all related metadata. Depending on your privacy settings on such Third Party Services, this information may be provided to the public at large or only to those that you have permitted to access such information through the applicable Third Party Services. Any information that you publicly transmit is instantly and broadly disseminated, and is stored in the Microsoft Windows clip board and accordingly in the Mac OS/iPhone/iPad iOS Pasteboard. Therefore, you should be careful about the information that you make available through click.to. 

Information Collected During Using/Configuration:  
When you use click.to, you will find default installed Actions in your context menu. If you use such a default Action, it may lead to other accounts or services that you maintain through Third Party Services, such as Facebook or Twitter or our click.to web services. Or when you configure your click.to, you may choose to create a new Action to other accounts or services that you maintain through Third Party Services, such as MySpace or Google Buzz. In both cases, if you elect to link to such Third Party Services, we may collect information related to your use of that Third Party Service, such as your username and password for that Third Party Service. We will use such account information solely to allow you to access those Third Party Services through the click.to application. Your data will only be saved on your local system in the “Settings Path” which you will find in the click.to options. 

Third Party Services:  
As mentioned above, click.to allows you to post or trigger content or actions with Third Party Services such as Facebook, Twitter, or Wikipedia. Any information that you elect to distribute through any of these services by using the click.to Service is instantly provided to such Third Party Services and, after leaving the Microsoft Windows clip board and accordingly the Mac OS/iPhone/iPad iOS Pasteboard, becomes accessible by such Third Party Services by sometimes routed through click.to web services. Therefore, in addition to reviewing this Privacy Policy, you should also review the privacy policies of the Third Party Services that you access. For example, if you post a picture on Facebook, it will be automatically posted to Facebook and may be available to other services, such as Twitter or Facebook, but only if you have elected to connect the click.to Services to such Third Party Services; if you post a Tweet to Twitter, the Tweet will automatically be transmitted. You should review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policies of our Third Party Service providers, which presently include (but may not be limited to) the following:Adobe, AmazonAppleBasecamp, Billiger.de, Blogger, Box, Ebay, EvernoteFacebook, FlickrGoogle, Google Maps, Google Translate,Microsoft, Mail, Memonic, Mozilla, Pastebin, Skype, Simplenote,Toodledo, Twitpic, TwitterWikipedia, Xing and Youtube.  

Cookies:

Please note that click.to, the website www.clicktoapp.com and the click.to web services (to upload your content to Third Party Services) uses cookies. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we may transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in our Site are visited, as well as by how many people. Such cookies do not collect personal information, and we do not combine information collected through cookies with other personal information to tell us who you are or what your username or e-mail address is; we use cookies to enhance users’ website experiences, to learn more about their use of the Site and Services and to improve quality.

Most browsers have an option for turning off the cookie feature, which will prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to command the browser to tell you when you receive a new cookie, or how to fully disable cookies, as well as (depending on the sophistication of your browser software) allowing you to decide on acceptance of each new cookie in a variety of ways. Ads may appear on the Site or the Services, and advertisers may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by www.clicktoapp.com, click.to software, click.to web services and does not cover the use of cookies, if any, by advertisers.

Information from Other Sources: 

For purposes such as improving your Actions, or creating new Actions for click.to, click.to may save additional information about you from other sources. As with the information you provide to us, we do not share this information with anyone except authorized third parties in connection with providing you with our Actions and our click.to web services.

Uses Of Personal Information

Sharing Information with Third Parties:  
click.to sometimes (depending on which Actions you’re using with click.to) uses Third Party APIs (application programming interfaces) in order to log in your Third Party Services (such as Facebook, Twitter, etc). click.to will not rent or sell your personal information to anyone for marketing purposes. 

Information/Actions You Post or Trigger:  
Information, content, pictures or text (etc) you submit with the click.to Actions will be available to users of the Third Party Service in accordance with the selected privacy settings. When you interact through click.to, for example, when you post a message or a picture, information about you may be visible to other users. Information that you post to a Third Party Service may become publicly accessible based on the privacy settings that you have with the Third Party Service provider. click.to has no control over this information once it leaves the click.to servers (click.to web services).

Posting personal information online that is accessible to the public makes that information publicly available, collectible and usable by others as well as redistributable through the internet and other media channels. You may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.

Security

Information related to Third Party Services which you access through the Actions and which you provide to click.to is protected by the privacy policies and procedures of such Third Party Services. You need to work to protect against unauthorized access to your passwords for those Third Party Services and to your computer by signing off once you have finished using a shared computer.

Changes To The Privacy Policy

click.to may amend this Privacy Policy. If we make changes to our privacy policy, you will find the new version on our website.

Children And Minors

click.to is not intended for children. If you are under 13, you may use the Site and Services only under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
